Geology

Good Morning, Gentle Readers!

Today's image is titled Halloween Ball. I made it about this time last year in honor of the holiday, and thought that a rerun was very much in order since Autumn is well under way.

In geology, I've been reading a lot about the different theories concerning the age of the Earth and how it could be measured. It really was quite fascinating- though a few of the older scientists did miss a few very important items while creating their theories. Still, even the mistakes had uses; Even if the theories couldn't accurately measure the age of the whole planet, they are valuable for gathering information about various formations.
